A lot of “About Me” pages start with how I’ve wanted to be a professional photographer since…. That’s not my story. I wanted to be a policeman, and was a career detective for three decades.
Having said
that, for as long as I can remember, I had a keen interest in photography and
have been taking photo's with the ability of understanding the art of telling a
story by capturing a moment in time. I
am now in the very rewarding career of professional full-time photographer.
During my school years, I lived in a small country town in South Australia with my loving parents, sister, dog and cat. I had a motor bike which I rode with friends through the bush. When I completed high school, we move to Western Australia and I joined the police force.
I love working with people and enjoyed all aspects of photography. I believe that by looking at an image, it can bring back memories of the past. A photograph of your old school or sports team can flood you with memories, as can an image of a location you shared with loved one. My landscapes and pet photographs remind me of my childhood days.
Being able to bring back memories of the past, through the ability to capture a moment in time with love ones, brings tremendous satisfaction to me as a photographer. I understand the power of an image, and will endeavour to capture photographs of your special moment so that you and your loved ones can cherish those moments and memories forever.
A word of warning: Having spent years refining my skill, my attention to detail borderlines obsessive, a quality that my clients greatly appreciate about my work.
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch, via phone or "Contact Me", so we can discuss your photographic needs. Warm regards Jeff.
I feel that I need to leave you with a quote from famous photographer, Aaron Siskind. This explains what photography is to me.
"Photography is a way of
feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured
forever.
It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”
